2002. Aleister Crowley, thought to be one of the wickedest men in the World, as far as the popular press were concerned. Born in the peak of Victorian England and raised in a strict church practising family. This is a documentary of perhaps one of the most extreme occultists of the 19th & 20th centuries. Crowley wrote many books on the occult and was instrumental in the forming of the Ordo Templi Orientis, A.A and many modern day occult orders. He was so extreme that he was expelled from the Golden Dawn after trying to take the order over. He fought with W.B Yeats the poet, who was one of the top members in the GD order and lost!
Crowley went on to form his own order based on his new religion of "Thelema". Many of his disciples died, went mad or committed suicide! Love him or hate him, there is no doubt, that Aleister Crowley lived his life to the full and pushed the envelope far beyond what most people would attempt today. His mystical life ended in 1947, he died in his 80's.
