1974. Dunderklumpen, a lonely, but goofy hobo/vagabond creature of the forest sneaks in the Wolgers' house and brings little Jens's stuffed animals to life. Jens sees Dunderklumpen kidnapping his toys and follows them back to the forest. Jens father, Beppe Wolger, is somewhat worried, so he then follows a bumble bee to find his son. Dunderklumpen, or "Thundering Fatty", and his gang are all lead on wonderful, magical adventures throughout the Swedish countryside.
Directed by animator Per Ahlin of Sweden this light fare is still appealing today for its unique blend of animation, music and live action. Obscure titles like this aren't bandwagoned by other filmmakers so they remain fresh for years and years unlike mainstream Disney animations.
